What is it about? The B.A. Major in German provides students with a comprehensive knowledge of both spoken and written German. In addition to the acquisition of these linguistic skills students will be introduced to a wide range of aspects of contemporary German society and culture through the study of numerous multimedia materials and documents in the target language that will be included in the advanced courses in area studies, translation, linguistics and literature. The German programme is offered both as a major and a minor.

GRMN1001 and GRMN1002
One introductory course from any Arts programmes at 6 credits
