What is it about? | This Minor programme in Buddhist Studies guides you through exploring all aspects of Buddhism, one of the world's major religions and a common cultural heritage of many Asian countries. You will learn Buddhist fundamental teachings, practices, and traditions, as well as the Buddhist cultures of different geographical regions, while exploring how Buddhist insights can be applied to change the way you see yourself and the world. Through taking courses in this programme you will: o Gain a foundational understanding of Buddhist history and doctrines o Learn to appreciate Asian religions, thought and culture o Enrich your major field of study and acquire further academic credentials o Open up yourself to the possibilities of critical self-reflection o Acquire liberal arts skills |
