What is it about?	It is about understanding the basis of health and diseases, with an aim to provide an up-to-date account of our knowledge of genetics and genomics, and their role in health and disease development.

Pre-requisite requirements and/or other conditions for declaring the major/minor	No pre-requisite requirement Minor: Students are required to complete 36 credits of the following courses subject to the University's regulations on credit double-counting: BBMS1003/BIOC1600, BBMS2003, BBMS2007, BBMS3007, BBMS3008, BBMS3009, BBMS4003, BIOC3605, BIOC4612, BBMS4004, BIOF3002
Career opportunities	The Minor programme explores the application of genetics and genomics to clinical practice and population health, and is highly relevant to students who aspires a scientific or academic career in the field.
