| What is it about? | The programme provides a wide range of courses from theoretical to applied translation. Students following these courses will be able to acquire practical translation skills and develop a breadth of knowledge in translation studies. | |

| Pre-requisite requirements and/or other conditions for declaring the major/minor | Major: Pre-requisite course(s): Grade C or above in CHIN1311 (6 credits) Additional 30 credits of introductory courses including CHIN2336 and/or CHIN2375, CHIN2361, CHIN2362 Additional 30 credits of advanced courses including CHIN2351 and CHIN2365 Capstone: CHIN2320 or CHIN2321 (out of a total major requirement of 72 credits) Minor: Pre-requisite course(s): A pass or above in CHIN1311 (6 credits) Additional 12 credits of introductory courses Additional 18 credits of advanced courses (out of a total minor requirement of 36 credits) **Remarks: A Level 5 or above in both Chinese and English in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) is required for admission to CHIN1311. Applicants with a Level 5** in HKDSE English but a Level 4 in HKDSE Chinese, or vice versa, as well as those holding other qualifications, will be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis. Non-JUPAS applicants must submit a copy of their equivalent qualifications (such as IB Diploma, AD/HD or Gaokao transcripts) to the course instructor for consideration. |
