What is it about? The Minor in Chinese Language and Culture is to help students attain a comprehensive and firm grasp of the Chinese language. The courses will ensure that students not only acquire a high level of language proficiency but also provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed academically and professionally.

Pre-requisite requirements and/or other conditions for declaring the major/minor Only International Students and Non-Chinese Speaking Local Students are eligible to declare the minor.

Students with prior knowledge of the Chinese language should take a placement test arranged by the Chinese Language Centre of the School of Chinese to determine their starting core course.
