| What is it about? | It is structured to equip students with the essential abilities and knowledge to design and implement robotics and intelligent systems that address significant global challenges such as construction, healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing. Students will have the opportunity to engage in projects focused on robot design and implementation as part of the programme. These projects will enable students to cultivate practical skills in robotics and acquire hands-on experience in designing, constructing, and programming robots. |
| Offering Faculty/ Department/ School/Institute | Department of Data and Systems Engineering |
| Pre-requisite requirements and/or other conditions for declaring the major/minor | • Level 4 or above in Mathematics in the Hong Kong Diploma in Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or equivalent • MATH1851 Calculus and ordinary differential equations • MATH1853 Linear algebra, probability & statistics |
| Career opportunities | By gaining industry-relevant knowledge and insights into cutting-edge technologies powering robots and intelligent systems, graduates are well-prepared for careers in robotics engineering. This programme not only offers real-world experience in designing, building, and programming robots but also equips graduates with a strong foundation in robotics and robotic systems, setting them up for success in the evolving technological landscape, particularly in regions like Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. Potential career paths for graduates include opportunities in sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, energy, transportation, mobility, and environmental management, among others.
