What is it about?	The major/minor in Computer Science provides students with a substantial foundation in key computer science subject areas and modern software technologies. On completion, students will be well-equipped with both basic and advance knowledge in computer science, and are better prepared to launch their career in IT industry and/or to pursue postgraduate studies in Computer Science.

Pre-requisite requirements and/or other conditions for declaring the major/minor	Level 3 or above in Mathematics in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or equivalent
Career opportunities	Computer Science graduates work as IT professionals in different sectors of the society, say banking & finance, the government, education, IT & telecommunication, etc. The problem solving skills and analytical abilities that they have developed during their study proved to be very valuable in many areas of endeavour.
